Live Music
Live music is a major part of American Days, and throughout the event you can expect a varied programme of bands, artists and special performances across our stages.
A large part of the band programme is curated by Lasse Strandheim, the man behind TAIL Records. With decades of experience, a strong network and a deep knowledge of live music, Lasse plays an important role in shaping the musical profile of American Days and in bringing both established names and exciting new acts to the event.
The programme is not limited to one particular genre. The focus is on great live music, strong performances and artists that fit the atmosphere and character of American Days.
More bands and artists will be announced continuously as the programme for 2027 takes shape.

STEVE ’N’ SEAGULLS

Steve ’n’ Seagulls are coming to American Days 2027!
The Finnish band first gained international attention in 2014 when their bluegrass version of AC/DC’s Thunderstruck exploded on YouTube. Since then, Steve ’n’ Seagulls have built a worldwide audience with their unique mix of bluegrass, rock, metal and country influences.
Armed with banjo, accordion, upright bass, acoustic guitars and a healthy dose of Finnish madness, they transform well-known rock classics into something completely their own – while also performing original material.
Their videos have gathered more than 340 million views on YouTube, and the band has performed in over 30 countries across four continents, from intimate clubs to major international festivals.
In 2027, Steve ’n’ Seagulls land on Öland for American Days. Expect musicianship, humour, energy and a live show unlike anything else.
The Kokomo Kings

The Kokomo Kings are a Swedish band that have built a strong reputation for their uncompromising mix of roots music, blues and raw rock'n'roll since forming in 2012.
The band started with one simple idea – to play primitive, groovy and danceable music deeply rooted in the American blues and rock'n'roll tradition. The result is a high-energy sound where blues, rockabilly and low-down boogie come together.
Over the years, The Kokomo Kings have performed at clubs and festivals throughout Europe. In 2018, they were nominated for Best Rockabilly Group at the Ameripolitan Music Awards in Memphis, and in 2022 they won both Artist of the Year and Entertainer of the Year at the Blues Lounge Radio Awards.
Since their debut album “Artificial Natural” in 2013, the band have released five studio albums. Their latest, “Turbomouth”, arrived in 2025 and continues their trademark combination of original songs, infectious grooves and influences from 1950s blues and rock'n'roll.
In 2026, the band introduced a new line-up featuring Marino Valle on vocals and harmonica and Henrik Pilqvist on guitar, joining Magnus Lanshammar, Jonas Holmberg and Daniel Winerö.
In 2027, The Kokomo Kings come to Öland as American Days celebrates its 5-year anniversary.
The Yankees
Genre: 50s/60s Rock’n’Roll
Country: Sweden
The Yankees are a Swedish Rock’n’Roll band from Hudiksvall, with their musical roots firmly planted in the classic American sounds of the 1950s and 60s.
The band was formed in 1989, when most of the members were still in school. During their early years, they played everything from local parties and car meets to talent competitions, and also became a regular opening act for The Boppers when they performed in Hudiksvall.
After a long break, The Yankees reunited in 2017 for a show at the End of Summer car meet in Iggesund. The response inspired them to continue, and since then they have once again been bringing their energetic and dance-friendly Rock’n’Roll to audiences.
Their music is inspired by artists such as Elvis Presley, Buddy Holly, The Beach Boys, Del Shannon and Chuck Berry. Since 2020, the band have also been writing and releasing original material while staying true to the classic American Rock’n’Roll tradition.
In 2027, The Yankees come to Öland as American Days celebrates its 5-year anniversary.
THE THUNDERBIRDS
Genre: Rock’n’Roll / Early 60s Rock’n’Roll
Country: Sweden
The Thunderbirds have roots stretching back around 30 years and are now back on stage after a long break.
Hailing from Dalarna, Sweden, the band features familiar faces from the Swedish rock scene. Their sound is firmly rooted in early 1960s Rock’n’Roll – from an era when the music was raw, energetic and made for dancing.
At American Days 2027, The Thunderbirds will take over the Rock Barn with classic Rock’n’Roll, plenty of swing and the unmistakable feel of rock’s early years.

GLENN DORAN

Glenn Doran returns to American Days in 2027 – this time with a full focus on rockabilly.
The audience has previously seen him at American Days in a more hillbilly-inspired setting, but this time the show will take a much stronger rockabilly direction.
With great stage presence, a classic Rock’n’Roll sound and backing from experienced Swedish rockabilly musicians, this will be a show packed with swing, energy and authentic 1950s spirit.

THE HILL BROTHERS
Genre: Roots Rockabilly / Rock’n’Roll
Country: France
Hailing from Burgundy, France, The Hill Brothers are a trio dedicated to authentic 1950s-style roots rockabilly.
Their sound is built around vocals, guitars and upright bass – with no drums – allowing the bass to provide much of the rhythm and drive. Their repertoire combines original material with carefully selected rockabilly, country and bluegrass songs. According to the band, around half of their live set consists of original songs written in the same traditional style.
The Hill Brothers draw inspiration from artists such as Charlie Feathers, with a raw and stripped-back sound firmly rooted in early rockabilly. The trio consists of Jim Ventura on vocals and rhythm guitar, Flyingjimmy Peter Parker on lead guitar and Stephane Ferlay on upright bass.
At American Days 2027, The Hill Brothers will perform two different shows, including a special tribute show.

THE EXPLOSIVES feat. BOPPIN’ STEVE

The Explosives draw their inspiration from the early days of rock’n’roll and rhythm & blues, with music rooted in the tradition of artists such as Little Richard and Fats Domino.
Fronting the band is Boppin’ Steve, a well-known name on the Swedish rock’n’roll and rockabilly scene. Together with a line-up of experienced musicians, The Explosives deliver piano-driven rock’n’roll, rhythm & blues and classic 1950s sounds with plenty of energy and swing.
At American Days 2027, they take over "Rockladan" with a set made for anyone who loves classic, straight-up and well-played rock’n’roll.
HAAKS
Genre: Live Entertainment / Rock / Pop

HAAKS are coming to American Days 2027!
With more than 5,000 performances behind them, HAAKS have built a reputation as one of Sweden’s most experienced live entertainment bands. Their shows are about much more than simply playing songs – the audience becomes part of the experience from the very beginning.
During the pandemic, the band took their live show online and built a huge following through their regular livestream performances. Since then, HAAKS have continued to entertain audiences across Sweden with well-known songs, sing-alongs, humour and plenty of energy.
On Saturday, June 5, HAAKS will take the stage at American Days. Expect a high-energy live show packed with familiar songs and a serious party atmosphere.

Al “Lil Fats” Jackson
Genre: New Orleans R&B / Rock’n’Roll
Country: USA
Al “Lil Fats” Jackson brings the classic sound of New Orleans all the way from Louisiana to American Days 2027.
Lil Fats grew up surrounded by New Orleans Rhythm & Blues, with Fats Domino becoming his greatest musical influence. With his voice, piano playing and natural stage presence, he has become known for keeping the spirit of Fats Domino and classic New Orleans music alive.
His connection to Fats Domino is also a personal one. The two met in 1997 and became friends, and over the years Lil Fats has taken part in several major celebrations honoring the legendary New Orleans artist.
At American Days, Al “Lil Fats” Jackson will be backed by The Explosives with an expanded line-up.

Herr Ludwigs Orkester
Genre: Rockabilly / Rock’n’Roll
Country: Sweden
Herr Ludwigs Orkester return to American Days with musical energy, humour and familiar songs given an unexpected twist.
The band describe their music as rockabilly interpretations of everything from Judas Priest to Britney Spears. With two guitars and an upright bass, they bring a swinging rockabilly sound to rock classics and pop hits alike.
Having performed at American Days before, they return to Öland in 2027 as we celebrate our 5 Year Anniversary!
Ramblin’ Ellie &
Lil’ Camille
Genre: Teen Sound / Girl Group / Rock’n’Roll
Country: Sweden
Ramblin’ Ellie and Lil’ Camille have both performed at American Days before. Now they return to Öland, joining forces for a special show as we
celebrate our 5 Year Anniversary!
This time, the focus is on teen and girl group sounds, with melodies and rhythms inspired by the music of the 1950s and ’60s. The two Swedish singers share a love of classic music, bringing their voices together for this performance.
Backing them are The Bashtones, with additional musicians as needed. Together, they bring musical energy and vintage swing to the Rockladan stage at American Days 2027.
The Allnighters
Genre: Rock’n’Roll / Rockabilly
Country: France
From Paris, The Allnighters bring wild rock’n’roll, driving rhythms and plenty of energy. As the eighth act announced for Rockladan, they join American Days 2027 as we celebrate our 5 Year Anniversary on Öland!
Previously known as The Megatons, the band adopted a new name following a few line-up changes in early 2026. Their musical direction remains the same, with energy, rhythm and a shared love of rock’n’roll at the heart of their sound.
For a taste of their music, the video for “Go Big Beat” is a great place to start. Recorded under the name The Megatons, it features an earlier line-up while offering a glimpse of the musical spirit that The Allnighters carry forward today.
We welcome The Allnighters to Rockladan for an energetic dose of French rock’n’roll at American Days 2027!

Johnny Horsepower pay tribute to the legendary Johnny Cash & The Tennessee Two with an authentic 50s sound and powerful live performances. Since 2010 they’ve played hundreds of shows across Europe, bringing classics from Cash’s golden years (1955–1972) back to life. With sharp style, raw energy, and even recordings made at Sun Studios with Cash’s original drummer WS “Fluke” Holland, the band captures the true spirit of outlaw country and honky tonk. PETER JEZEWSKI & THE BOPPIN CATS

PETER JEZEWSKI is one of Sweden’s most recognized rock ’n’ roll voices and a true entertainer with decades of experience on stage. Best known as the frontman of legendary Swedish group The Boppers, he has become a beloved name for audiences who appreciate timeless rock ’n’ roll, strong vocals and unforgettable live performances.

As the first European to win Dale Watson’s Ameripolitan Award for Best Honky Tonk Male in Austin, and with acclaimed releases such as Untamed Heart, Charlie has proven himself to be one of today’s leading voices in traditional country music. He’s also no stranger to American Days — having performed here before, he now returns to deliver another unforgettable show.

The Go Getters

Formed in Västerås back in 1988, The Go Getters have spent over three decades firing up dancefloors around the world with their explosive mix of blues-marinated, high-octane rockabilly. Fronted by stand-up drummer and songwriter Peter Sandberg, the trio deliver a raw, party-driven sound that keeps the beer flowing and the crowd moving all night long.
From their breakthrough single You Don’t Love Me in 1992 to legendary albums like Real Gone! and Hotter Than a Pepper, The Go Getters have become a milestone in modern Euro rockabilly. They’ve toured relentlessly across Europe, the U.S., and Australia, sharing stages with icons like Ronnie Dawson, Sleepy La Beef, and Johnny Powers — and blowing away crowds at festivals from Viva Las Vegas to Hemsby.

The Jetaways

From Närke comes The Jetaways, led by frontman and kapellmästare Jan Östlund. A familiar face at American Days, Janne not only fronts the band but also plays a key role behind the scenes, helping put together backing bands for singers from near and far. Many will also recognize him as the bassist alongside Eva Eastwood — but here he takes center stage, backed by the talented Letskog family.
With their mix of tight musicianship, vintage energy, and pure rock’n’roll spirit, The Jetaways deliver the kind of show that gets every crowd moving. After memorable performances in past years, they now return once again to American Days on Öland, June 4–6, 2026.

The Wild Goners

From deep within the European rock’n’roll scene comes The Wild Goners, a band that has been keeping the true spirit of 1950s rockabilly alive since 1993. Known for their driving rhythm, vintage sound, and high-energy performances, they’ve become a favorite on international stages across Europe.
It’s been nearly 20 years since they last played in Sweden — and now they’re finally back. With a style that blends raw rockabilly with classic rock’n’roll, The Wild Goners bring an authentic American sound that fits perfectly at American Days Rockin-Barn.

Okawango Outlaws

From sunny Värmland more precisely from Torsby where many nice bands have come from, this time a Rock'n'Roll band called Okawango Outlaws where the singer comes from Blue Valley Boys.
The Satellites
Country: Sweden
Genre: Surf / Instrumental Rock
The Satellites is a guitar-driven surf and instrumental band heavily influenced by the American pioneers The Ventures. Their sound is rooted in classic surf rock, with fast picking, twangy guitars, and melodies that instantly bring you back to the early 1960s.
The band’s repertoire includes well-known classics such as:
Walk, Don’t Run, Pipeline, Journey to the Stars, Apache, and more.
The band was formed in 2003 by Johan Torstensson and brothers Mattias and Andreas Hyttsten from Svärdsjö/Vintjärn. Later on, Micke Torstensson also joined the band. After several active years, The Satellites took a break, followed by a comeback just before the pandemic. Due to limited live opportunities during that time, the band was once again put on hold.
In 2023, The Satellites were invited to perform at Midsommarrocken in Vintjärn. When Micke chose not to rejoin, William Svensson from Eddie and the Flatheads was asked to step in — a natural fit, as he previously played in a project focused on the same style of music.
Today, The Satellites are back at full strength, eager to return to the stage with new material and a sound closely inspired by The Ventures.

FLAT FOOT

FLAT FOOT is the band that has taken large parts of Europe by storm with their swinging Rhythm & Blues and Rockabilly sound. Their energy and distinctive style have attracted attention far beyond the scene — to the point where Little Steven, guitarist of Bruce Springsteen’s E Street Band, invited the band to attend a Bruce Springsteen concert at the Globe Arena in Stockholm to discuss possible future collaborations.
Unfortunately, the pandemic came in between, but the band has remained in contact with Little Steven and the conversations continue.

HERR LUDWIGS ORKESTER
